Better roads  Less Traffic  Stronger future

Thomas Sanders
 County Council
District 28

Our roads and traffic have gotten worse, not better. I’m running to fix what’s broken and to give honest answers about what it will actually take fix it

Deeply Rooted in Our Community

I’ve called Mauldin and Simpsonville home for over 40 years. I grew up here, raised my family here, and for the last 26 years, I’ve run a technology consulting business serving the Upstate. In my career, people hire me to fix their tech problems. I’m running for County Council to bring that same practical, "fix-it" mindset to local government

Our community is growing, but we need to manage that growth responsibly, specifically when it comes to our roads, traffic, and long-term planning. I’m not here for politics; I’m here to listen, analyze the issues, and deliver solutions that actually work for our families.

Our Platform

The Issues That Matter to Our Community

Roads

Fixing and maintaining local roads is a top priority for our district to ensure safe and efficient travel for all residents.

Traffic

Reducing congestion and improving traffic flow to make commutes safer and faster for every member of our community.

Accountability

Ensuring every tax dollar is spent effectively on essential services and county maintenance while eliminating wasteful overhead.

Affordability & Stability

Families should be able to remain in the communities they have invested in for years. As housing costs rise, that stability becomes harder to maintain for seniors on fixed incomes, young families trying to buy their first home, and working professionals who serve this community every day.
